14 Day South Africa Tour
Tour Guide
Throughout your tour you will be accompanied by an experienced and knowledgable tour guide. They will ensure that the itinerary is fulfilled and that you have the African experience that you dreamt of.
Transportation
All transportation within South Africa is included in your tour. All vehicles are spacious and comfortable and are air-conditioned with the obvious exception of open game drive jeeps on safari.
All internal flights are booked with commercial airlines on standard scheduled flights.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and flight to Cape Town
Day 7: Cape Town city tour and Cable Car or hike up Table mountain.
Day 8: Cape Point & Boulders beach.
Day 9: Winelands and winery tour.
Day 10: Drive to Plettenberg Bay.
Day 11: Beach and relaxation day!
Day 12: Surf lessons and a Robberg hike.
Day 13: Storms River/ Tsitsikamma
Day 14: Jeffreys Bay, flight home
Accommodation
All accommodation is hand picked for it’s location and quality. We prefer to support smaller B&B’s and Safari lodges rather than impersonal large hotels. It’s also easier to ensure a Gluten Free experience when you can chat directly with managements and chefs in a smaller establishment.

Sample South Africa Tour Itinerary
Day One
Arrive in Johannesburg - your Tour Guide will meet you in the international arrivals hall. The group will be transported from the airport to your nearby accommodation.

Day Two
Drive to the southernmost entrance of the Kruger National Park and start your Safari! Kruger is just smaller than the whole of Belgium which gives you and the animals lots of space to explore!
Game drive upon arrival until sunset. (450km)

Day Three & Four
Full day of game drives in Kruger National Park. Generally we will head out at dawn for a few hours (after some much needed coffee) and then return to camp for a breather. After the warmest hours of the day we will head out again and game drive till sunset.
Optional: night game drive in open top safari vehicle (extra cost)

Day Five
Full day game drive in Kruger. We will be heading to the Northern half of the park stopping often at view points and rest camps. We will share the sunset with a pod of hippos and a few glasses of champagne in hand.

Day Six
Catch an afternoon flight to Cape Town. Explore the V&A Waterfront and enjoy a cocktail while watching the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean.

Day Seven
Wake up at the foot of Table Mountain and take in the views over the ocean. Today and tomorrow’s activities include a Cape Town city tour, Table mountain, Cape Point, Boulders beach penguins, shopping, gin and brewery tour. All activities and weather dependent.

Day Eight
Whatever we didn’t do on the previous day we will get to do today. Don’t worry you won’t need to climb up the vertical cliffs of Table Mountain, there is a cable car. Cape Town Nightlife and live music!

Day Nine
Hike and Winelands tour with accommodation in Stellenbosch. Tutored wine tasting on some historical wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Interesting fact that the first vineyards were planted in the Cape over 350 years ago.

Day Ten
Head out on the Garden route with scenic coastal roads, beautiful mountain passes, gin and breweries. Although this is predominantly a travel day we will stop regularly. One highlight will be a gin tasting in Knysna with a twist. End the day in Plettenberg with sundowners and private accommodation.

Day Eleven & Twelve
Enjoy Plettenberg, hike Robberg nature reserve, learn to surf, swim and shop. Don’t forget your sunblock as beach and pool time is mandatory.

Day Thirteen
Short travel down the coast to Tsitsikamma for an ocean front stay at Storms River. Kayak and Lilo trip up the mouth of the river. (Bungee jump at extra cost). Hike out to the suspension bridge over the Storms River Mouth.

Day Fourteen
Travel to Port Elizabeth to catch a flight to Johannesburg and return to Canada. We will be stopping in the surf mecca of Jeffreys Bay for some possible beach time and to explore some surf brand factory shops.

There are lots of factors which we can not control such as grocery products that are labelled incorrectly and the infamous cross contamination. We have spoken to all establishments and chefs that we use for our tours and ensure that they understand what products contain gluten and what products contain hidden gluten.
Your tour leader reviews every menu with every establishment upon arrival to try and mitigate any and all gluten exposure.
